Course Overview

Our Basic Electrical Skills Course will ensure that your people are able to carry out assembly of electrical equipment & systems.

Our course covers preparation and termination of cables & glands, crimping & termination of conductors, safe use of electrical test instruments to measure continuity, polarity and insulation resistance on isolated circuits, and safely measure voltage & current on live circuits.

Who should take this course?

Our course is suitable for people involved in electrical assembly and equipment repair, such as machine building, panel wiring and component replacement. No previous experience is needed.

Statutory Compliance

Key pieces of legislation include the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

The main aim of this training course is to ensure that your organisation is in compliance with statutory requirements and that your people are competent to carry out basic electrical tasks safely and efficiently.
